Professional network storage in 1U rack-mount format for demanding environments with high data availability.

UNAS Pro 4 represents an advanced solution for data storage and sharing in enterprise environments. The device offers four bays for 3.5" HDD or 2.5" SSD with hot-swap support and two M.2 NVMe slots for SSD cache up to 4 TB capacity, ensuring fast access to frequently used data and lower latency for random operations.

Network connectivity is provided by two 10G SFP+ ports for high-speed data transfer and redundant connectivity, complemented by a GbE RJ-45 port for management. The device is equipped with a quad-core ARM® Cortex®-A57 processor at 2.0 GHz and 8 GB of RAM. The SGCC steel construction with dimensions of 442.4 × 400 × 43.7 mm is designed for mounting in a 19" rack.

Data Protection and Backup
The system offers comprehensive data protection through RAID redundancy, disk encryption, and regular snapshots for restoring previous file versions. It supports backups to additional UNAS devices via SMB/CIFS, as well as to popular cloud services including Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, and Wasabi.

Data Access
Files can be accessed through UniFi Site Manager or directly using the SMB protocol via UniFi Drive on desktop. For remote access, the Identity Endpoint application is available on desktop and mobile platforms, allowing connection from anywhere without requiring a license.

Performance Optimization
SSD cache significantly accelerates random access operations, which is ideal for file sharing between multiple computers in office environments, virtualization workloads, media work requiring frequent file reads, or database applications with high IOPS requirements. Cache performance increases with the number of concurrent accesses.

UniFi Drive 4.0 – intelligent enterprise-grade platform for backup and data protection
UniFi Drive 4.0 brings significant updates that elevate UNAS rack storage to a new level – from automatic backups to enterprise-level data protection outside the cloud.

  • Enterprise-level Microsoft 365 Backup – main feature: secure archiving of data from work and school Microsoft 365 accounts outside the primary cloud (protection against ransomware, accidental deletion, or unwanted changes). Version support allows restoration of specific data states.
  • Automatic Photo Backup from iPhones and iPads – using the license-free UniFi Endpoint app, your photos sync directly to UNAS storage – no monthly fees or external cloud required.
  • Proactive Health Monitor – new HDD/SSD health monitoring with SMART data overview and warnings for impending failures, ensuring your rack storage operates reliably long-term.
  • Enhanced System Logs and Audit – detailed overview of data movement and system events facilitates diagnostics, regulatory compliance, and management of larger enterprise environments.

UniFi Drive 4.0 thus transforms storage into an intelligent and resilient platform with a strong focus on data protection and simple management.
