Poznamenáváme, že zvláště při realizaci analogových kamerových systémů je vhodné provést uzemnění všech stínění a neživých vodivých částí na společný potenciál, kterým je v drtivé většině případů ochraný vodič. Doporučujeme provést propojení záporného pólu stejnosměrného napájení s ochraným vodičem elektrických rozvodů a stejně tak provést uzemnění všech kovových částí, stínění koaxiálních vodičů, držáků kamer atd. Jde o základní opatření proti rozdílům potenciálů, které zhoršují kvalitu obrazu. Jakož i o základní ochranu proti atmosférickému přepětí či nebezpečným dotykovým napětím.
