Industrial 4-port managed PoE switch with solar panel and battery power for off-grid installations.
Introducing a compact network switch designed for powering devices in locations without access to the electrical grid. The device features four 10/100 Mb/s ports with active 48V PoE standard 802.3af/at on each port with a total power output of 40 W (20 W per port). The integrated MPPT charger efficiently charges a 12V gel battery with a current of up to 4 A from a solar panel with an operating voltage of 16.5–22.5 V.
The switch offers advanced remote monitoring and management capabilities via web interface (HTTP/HTTPS), MQTT, and SNMP v2/v3. It measures parameters of each port including current, voltage, and power, monitors battery status and solar panel energy production. The watchdog function automatically resets ports when an IP address becomes unreachable, while the scheduler allows time-based planning of port power on/off. Temperature, humidity, and pressure sensors BME280, AM2320, HTS221 can be connected to the device.
Flexible Power Supply and Energy Management
The device can be powered in three ways: from a solar panel, from a battery, or from an external power supply 16–26 V (typically 19 V/3–4 A). The MPPT controller maximizes solar panel output at the operating point of 16.5–22.5 V. Battery protection automatically shuts down PoE ports when voltage drops to 10.7 V.
Advanced Monitoring and Automation
HTTP client and MQTT client send measured values to a remote server for centralized monitoring. The scheduler allows automatic port shutdown during night hours for energy savings. The email client sends notifications when watchdog tests fail.
Typical Applications
Ideal for powering IP cameras, security sensors, weather stations, IoT devices, and other network elements in locations without access to the electrical grid. Suitable for remote locations, solar farms, parking lots, construction sites, or outdoor monitoring systems.
