Industrial 4G LTE NB-IoT gateway for demanding IoT applications with extended connectivity and extreme durability.
TRB256 is a compact industrial gateway designed for a wide range of IoT solutions. The device offers connectivity via 4G LTE Cat M1 (up to 588/1119 kbps), Cat NB2 (up to 127/158.5 kbps) and Cat NB1 (up to 32/70 kbps) with 3GPP Release 14 support. A key advantage is support for the 450 MHz frequency band, which provides significantly better LTE signal penetration compared to standard frequencies.
The gateway features dual SIM functionality with automatic switching in case of weak signal, data limit or connection failure. The aluminum housing resistant to temperatures from -40 to +75 °C and compact dimensions of 83 × 74.2 × 25 mm enable installation even in demanding industrial environments. The device runs on the RutOS operating system based on OpenWrt and is fully compatible with the Teltonika RMS platform for remote management.

Serial Interfaces and I/O
The gateway offers RS-232 (TX, RX, RTS, CTS) and RS-485 (D+, D-, R+, R-) interfaces on a 16-pin terminal block. There are 3 configurable digital inputs/outputs with logic zero detection at 0–6 V and logic one at 8–30 V. Open collector outputs can handle up to 30 V at 300 mA. One input can be used as an analog input for voltage measurement 0–30 V.
Advanced Network Functions
The device supports static and dynamic routing (BGP, OSPF v2, RIP v1/v2, EIGRP, NHRP), firewall with port forwarding support, QoS/SQM, VLAN, DDNS (more than 77 providers), hotspot with captive portal and RADIUS authentication. Also available is an MQTT broker, Data to Server function for sending data to HTTP(S)/MQTT/Azure servers.
IoT Platforms and Cloud Integration
Native support for Azure IoT Hub with Plug and Play, AWS IoT Core with Jobs support, ThingWorx, Cumulocity and Cloud of Things. Custom API option via JSON-RPC, TR-069, SNMP (v1, v2, v3) and MQTT.
